This tachi is a high quality replica of old Japanese sword. It is characterized by a more curved shape than that of katana and is slightly longer than the katana.

It possesses a single-edged vertebrate blade which is detached from the handle by a beautifully ornate metal cast hand guard. The handle itself is a work of art presenting an outstanding composition of red, black and yellow ornaments which are also mirrored on the scabbard. The blood-red saya (the scabbard) and golden hand guard is cord-wrapped with a red lace inlay.
