This tachi sword is a replica of the well known ancestor of the katana, being used in combats basically from the beginning of the samurai period and remaining in permanent use till the dusk of samurai’s culture. After the institute of shoguns was abolished, tachi became a court sword leaving its place to katana sword.

Tachi’s length can range between two and half and three and half feet, that is why some call it the “extra long sword”. It has a prolonged handle (tsuka). Tsuka is designed to be gripped with only one hand underlining the power of its bearer. Its golden ornaments are to be compared to handcraft, which makes the tachi sword a masterpiece.

Undoubtedly, tachi had combined the greatness of the samurai traditions with the wisdom of the Japanese art of war. This stainless steel wave bears the mystery, traditions and elegance. Only a possessor of the same qualities is prone to own it.
