-This is a set of 3 wonderful Japanese swords which are completing each other. It contains a katana (43"), wakizashi (33"), and a Tanto (24").

The katana, also called the Japanese long sword, is a specific type of slightly curved, single-edged sword with a long handle and a mirror polished blade.

The wakizashi sword is a shorter one but repeats the katana's proportions and design.

Tanto is the smallest of the Japanese trilogy, still is a miniature copy of the previous two. The small sword was usually forged for the hira-zukuri ritual.

All three fine pieces posses magnificent black lacquered saya (the scabbard) and richly decorated with gold-silver ornaments tsuka (the hilt). The handle feels pretty well balanced; it reminds a full dragon body/tail motif.

Each sword is designed as individual works of art. The pommels are the highlights of this art reflecting a menacing dragon head whereas the sides are models of ancient oriental drawings.
