The supreme power of France

Napoleon has been recognized as a most brilliant military figure in history. He was born in Corsica, and his father was a leader in the Corsican resistance. As a teenager Napoleon joined the military and completed his education in France. The other soldiers taunted him, because of his height and his Corsican accent. But, Napoleon showed the great military skills and instantly became an important army leader.
When his army swept through Europe, Napoleon became a French Hero and a First Consul. He restored the relations with the Roman Catholic Church, balanced budget, and developed a fair tax structure. In 1802, Napoleon became a Consul of Life, and letter, when he achieved a great success; he called himself as an Emperor of France.
Napoleon won most of continental Europe, naming himself as a King of Italy, while his brothers became Kings of Holland, Germany and Spain. He won his success with the sword, not the sword of execution, nor the sword of the guillotine, but the sword of victory.
The only countries he could not win, was England and Russia. The England had a very strong Navy, and Russia had very cold winter. Hungry and freezing, his army was defeated by allied nations in 1813. Then Napoleon went to Elba, where he was given a great power. In 1815 he returned to France as a Hero. His military success was ended in the Battle of Waterloo, when the European countries united together to defeat his army. He was exiled to the island off the coast of Africa, where he passed away of cancer.
