Connor Macleod, the Highlander

Have you ever come across a question who is Immortals?
Immortals are human beings, who cannot be killed unless they are beheaded. They can heal any wound, cure any disease, and overcome the burnings. They are born with potential to be immortal, aging and living as normal human beings do, until their immortality is awakened by the shock of an unnatural death, at which time they will awaken as fully immortal and cease to age.
Have you ever seen the movie “Highlander”? Yes, that where you seen the Immortals: Connor MacLeod and Kurgan. Connor Macleod, the Highlander, was born in the Scottish Highlands in the village of Glenfinnan on the shores of Loch Sheil in January of 1518. He was killed in 1536 during a battle between the Clan Macleod and the Fraser clan. The Kurgan, an immortal from the Russian Steppes, ended Macleod's mortality with a Broadsword thrust to the stomach.

Throughout the centuries MacLeods have been known for their devotion to their chief, the tenacity with which they have maintained the ancient Dunvegan castle, their appreciation of music and Gaelic lore, their outstanding record in the professions, and their loyalty to one another.

The Macleod origins can be traced to Leod, who was born about 1200, the son of Olaf the Black, King of Man and the Isles. Originally a rock fortress founded about eight and a half centuries ago, Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye in Invernesshire, Scotland, has grown and changed over the years until today it is a beautiful and historic castle - the oldest continuously inhabited stronghold in the British Isles, the home of the Chief and the symbolic clan home to MacLeods around the world. Today MacLeod Clan has a lot of members in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and USA.

One of the clan's most treasured relics is the Fairy Flag of Dunvegan. It is said to have been woven by fairies and to possess magical properties. It has been kept at Dunvegan for centuries and is said to bring luck and fortune to the Clan MacLeod. During World War II the young men from the Clan MacLeod carried pictures of the Fairy Flag in their wallets while fighting, and not one of them was lost in the battle. That is probably where the idea of immortality started.

The movie “Highlander” explores history through the eyes of an immortal, who never wanted to live forever, he simply wanted to love, have children, and grow old with his wife, whom he loved more than anything. It's a tragedy really. Macleod is nearly a tragic hero, his fault being his own immortality. “Highlander” is a strange amalgam of love, hate, pain, and humanity. By becoming the last immortal, Connor MacLeod has more than saved the world - he has saved himself. He has given himself something he was deprived of, a real life.

Anime Final Fantasy - Swords
The defining quality of the Final Fantasy series has always been its storyline. Featuring one of the most complex text-based stories of its time, Final Fantasy outdid the story of Dragon Quest, which featured the traditional plot of saving the Princess from the evil villain. Of course, the complexity of the story was nothing compared to later games, but the ambitious groundwork laid by the young Square.
BLEACH ANIME - SLICING MOON ICHIGO TENSA BANKAI SWORD
The final form of Zangetsu, named tensa Zangetsu (chains of heaven - slicing moon), is considered completely out of the ordinary for any zanpakuto. It consists of an ordinary katana (or a nodachi, as its size is about 175 cm) with a black blade, a handguard in the shape of the manji, which is the kanji for "ban" (full), and a short broken chain dangling as the blade's tassel and replacing the cloth from its released form. In addition to his sword, Ichigo's robe is replaced with a long-sleeved, ankle length black coat with red lining that is closed at his chest.
Anime - Bleach
Hailed at cons as one of the most popular shows of 2004, Bleach has gained massive acclaim in North America, perhaps even moreso than Japan. Based on the manga by Kubo Tite, the show (directed by Abe Noriyuki) tells the story of Kurosaki Ichigo, a high-school student with great spiritual power.
The Mameluke Sword
Originally, Marine Officers could wear swords of any style-as long as they were yellow-mounted. But that changed in 1805, when Lieutenant Presley O’Bannon and his Marines marched across 600 miles of North Africa’s Libyan desert to successfully storm the fortified city of Derna in Tripoli. They were there to put down Barbary Coast pirates taking a toll on American merchant ships in the Mediterranean.
Kadaj's Souba Double Bladed Final Fantasy Sword
This sword is amazing. When you first hold it you will be amazed! While you know better than to strike a tree with it, you will be very tempted. As seen in Advent Children, Kadaj's double bladed Katana is rumored to be another form of Sephiroth's Masamune, thus the blades combine length wise to form the extremely long Masamune (blades don't actually combine on this item).
